Review: Never Say Diet: Make Five Decisions and Break the Fat Habit for Good

When it comes to weight loss, there are a number of different routes that individuals take. Diets, surgery, systems, pharmaceuticals; all of these life changing methods to lose weight are not needed to lose weight. The author of "Never Say Diet: Make Five Decisions and Break the Fat Habit for Good," Chantel Hobbs, was able to lose two hundred pounds, and keep it off, without the aide of the above methods.

That is what the book covers, the five personal decisions that were commitments to losing weight, with no excuses. It is the believe of the author that by changing one's mind, the body will follow and weight loss falls under their control. The author teaches methods that helps others move beyond their failures and toss out those old excuses.

The primary points towards this method are simple to implement and have a full impact for the user. These include: revise your eating patterns to bring food under control; why the weight loss has to begin from within; workouts that are simple, but that deliver a lasting impact. She also addresses how to overcome obstacles, including people why may be naysayers or your own negative thoughts. She teaches how to prioritize yourself, take care of all of things you must balance and to stay on track.

Developing the ability to be determined, committed, and responsible for weight loss is the goal of the author. That is what it will take to lose weight and keep it off. That is the goal of the author in "Never Say Diet: Make Five Decisions and Break the Fat Habit for Good."

Review -

It tends to occur that individuals who are trying to lose weight will just gain the weight back on, since diets can not be done full time. That is how this program came to be; it is a complete physiological, psychological and lifestyle makeover. The process will make people better people. The approach is systematic, leading to a healthier life that is more balanced.

Chantel Hobbs provides a food list that is enjoyable and nutritious. Fad diets are shown not to work and are no substitute to making basic lifestyle changes. The impact of her program can not be measured in terms of weight or the number of calories burned. Rather, she recognizes that change comes from the inside, and that anyone can achieve what she did. Crash diets just do not work, their effects are temporary and just do not work for people who need to lose a lot of weight.

This tome is one that will help the in the fight to lose weight, replacing negative thoughts and thoughts that hold you back and giving those that help to reinforce good, positive habits of focusing on one's health and not falling into a fad diet cycle of lose the weight.

I completely agree with this book. When I lost 100+ pounds it was not due to diet in any way. It was a lifestyle change that I took and stayed on. I ate healthier and more importantly, less often. I excercised regularly and maintained a healthy lifestyle. I truly believe you will fail if you think it’s a diet because once you reach your desired weight you will quit and it will come back.
