You are totally right about things being different for individual people.

One of my friends can eat whatever she wants and doesn't really need to workout. I on the other hand need to always watch what I eat and keep exercising.

I'm a fan of your blog! Thanks.

I have had tremendous results since I started eating a raw food diet. Lost 20 lbs in 3 months and feel great. A HUGE key is to drink plenty of water. And drink water instead of soda, coffee, or sugary drinks!

Well Said Barbara. I just want those people reading this post that Fitness is a commitment. A commitment to yourself. Its ok to be a little self centered sometime and take care of our bodies.

For those diabetics out there, did you know a 5-10% drop in weight can lower the chances of developing type 2 diabetes?

You can do it! Walk a few blocks a day, eat smaller portions, and reach out to friends and strangers. You'd be amaze how much support and love is out there from people who are willing to help you get healthier.

During the past 2 years that I've been on my lifestyle change, I've found that a positive mindset is what drives my continued weight loss success.

I personally don't care what people think of how I look...I just want to look good for *me*. And for *me*, looking good means I can look at myself in the mirror and say, Good job. I don't have to be Hollywood...I just have to be me.
