Is there any circumstance under which exercise can be dangerous to your health? I have never heard anyone speak of this yet we do hear of athletes and the like who collapse and die due to overly rigorous activity.

There is also a lot of research showing how physical activity has been successful in reducing the symptoms of mild to moderate depression.

I know that when you are stressed, the last thing you feel like doing is "exercise". But this may just be the time when you need it the most.

Running up and down the stairs a few times or banging out 10 or 20 body-weight squats or some push-ups or even running on the spot for 30 seconds may help you burn off some of the 'nervous energy' that we feel when we are stressed.
