Day 1 Recap

I started the day with a large breakfast after going to the dentist. Starting the program yesterday was a bit of chance... There was a lunchtime opening so I went. I know it sounds like I am doing this on a whim, but I am not... I have been planning (counting on) starting the program ever since I "won" the charity auction. I am committed this time...

After the consultation, I took my various medications and went back to work... Around 5 I was restless and decided to exercise... I played 12 holes of golfs. I walked the course and carried my bag... It is a very hilly 9 hole course that is a hidden gem (literally). (It also happens to be the site of my one and only hole in one.)

I drank plenty of water... For dinner I had 6 slices of smoked turkey in 2 sittings. The first 3 slices when I got home from golf and the second 3 after my shower...

At this point I have not been hungry since breakfast (combo big breakfast and drugs), but I felt I should eat something...

Another glass of water with a serving of sugar-free metamucil before bed (to keep you regular)...

Despite being warned I might not be able to sleep well the 1st couple of days on the medications I had no trouble sleeping... I suppose day 1 is just a primer, tomorrow the diet and drugs will be in effect all day.

Also I purchased 2 items from amazon (both have been added to my recommended sidebar)... The 1st was recommended by my Dr: Living Large: A Big Man's Ideas on Weight, Success, and Acceptance. The second was a high capacity bathroom scale: Health o meter 844KL High Capacity Digital Bathroom Weight Scale with 1.5 in. LCD, 440 lb x 0.1 lb.

I’m a little concerned about the medications. Except for Alli, has anything really been proven to help? Or are they medications for other things?

@LazyMan

I am not taken speed from my corner drug dealer… This is a legitimate Dr supervised weightloss.

I don’t know if anything was been proven to work… I intend to research as I go…

Clearly I am not hungry. So that is good.
