Can Superfoods Help You Lose Weight?

One of the biggest questions that is arising often ever since Superfoods became a popular concept is whether or not these superfoods can actually help you lose weight. The truth? Yes, they really can. There are a lot of different foods that can significantly boost your weight loss program by being really healthy for you. There are ten of these superfoods mentioned below that you should include in your diet as often as you possibly can. You should try to add between two and three of these super foods to your menu every single day.

1 - Tomatoes -

Tomatoes are extremely low in calories, and are an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin C and numerous anti oxidants. You should use them both in cooked and raw forms in your diet. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on a halved tomato and broil it to melt the cheese for a delicious snack.

2 - Salmon -

Salmon is considered to be the super fish because it is heavy in omega 3's, protein and calcium along with Vitamins B and D. You can grill it, sauté it or bake it and serve it over brown rice with lemon juice for a nice meal.

3 - Green Tea -

Green tea is a metabolism booster that is really rich in antioxidants. You can try it iced or hot, and you can mix it with black tea to give it a different taste all together.

4 - Broccoli -

Broccoli is high in fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C and folate but is also quite low in calories. You can quickly and easily toss it into a stir fry with some scallions and garlic and some soy sauce for a treat with an oriental kick to it.

5 - Apples -

An apple before every meal can help you lose weight. They are high in both protein and fiber, so they help you to feel full for a lot longer.

6 - Spinach -

Spinach is high in anti oxidants, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin B and vitamin C. You can easily dress up some raw spinach using vinegar dressing and olive oil. Add a sliced hard boiled egg and your meal is almost perfect.

7 - Walnuts -

Walnuts are an excellent source of protein, the healthy types of fat, and fiber as well. You can eadily add chopped walnuts to your yogurt in the morning to add fiber and boost your protein levels. You can also cook them in brown rice for a little added bit of crunch.

8 - Oats -

The longest cooking kind only take five minutes to make and have more fiber than the instant kind. Oats can decrease cholesterol and can add fiber to your diet, especially if you add them into your meatloaf or meatballs for dinner.

9 - Garlic -

This is great for adding flavor to your cooking and boosting your health, reducing cholesterol and lowering blood pressure.

10 - Blueberries -

Blueberries are often regarded as a miracle berry as they are full of antioxidants and vitamins. Add them to a salad for an extra treat, or throw them into the blender with your regular morning smoothie.
