For those who partake in this exercise, there are myriad benefits that can be attained from its practice. It's been around for more than five thousand years and some figures purport that an estimated 11 million Americans currently use this program for many reasons. At first it seemed like a trend but as the years have gone on, millions have seen how good it can be for your health.</p>
<p><strong>In the West, most classes focus on the physical poses called asanas. </strong>There are usually different breathing techniques that are included into the routine to help with movements and meditations, though the former aspect of the experience isn't quite as popular. Americans don't really seem very interested in the concept of meditation but even without this aspect it's still quite helpful. It's all about moving your body in new ways but that's not where it stops.</p>
<p><strong>Besides helping individuals with their flexibility, muscle strength, and balance, the practice also releases lactic acid that builds up in your muscles that causes stiffness, tension, and chronic fatigue. </strong>It allows for an increase in body motion and eases the moment of the joints. This gives the body an increased fluidity of motion and it's not just about getting the ability to stretch like a gymnast. There are many levels of classes that one can take and many seniors who suffer from debilitating arthritis have been advised by their doctor to take a basic level course. By including this practice in their weekly regiment, many seniors have seen an increase in their range of motion and a decrease in the pain and aches that come with arthritis.</p>
<p>Though Yoga is an exercise, it probably won't help you loose weight but some of the meditation practices have been known to increase the individual's focus during dieting. It still hasn't been proven as effectual as exercise and <a href="http://www.lipozene.org/">lipozene diet pill</a>. Before doing any of these you should most defiantly consult your doctor for further advice.</p>
<p>If you don't want to go to a gym or pay huge monthly fees for a membership to a Yoga class, there are many programs that you can buy online and do at home. With many of these <a href="http://www.yogatuneup.com/yoga-at-home-fitness">programs</a> you can customize the level of your routine depending on your personal goals and needs. Some of these DVD's have multiple levels that allow for advancement and ease of progression. There's lot's of information out there and community centers that also offer these classes. Check it out today if you want to include some exercise or if you just want to add a recreational activity to your schedule.</p>

The word Yoga is a Sanskrit work which means "to tie, to unite, to balance". While the goal for a yoga practice is not explicitly to help you lose weight, it is one of the end results in most cases. When you are overweight, this is a sign of the fact that your body is out of balance, and when yoga brings it back into balance, it allows you to achieve the necessary weight loss for improved health.</p>
<p><strong>If you suspect that you are overweight because of emotional or hormonal issues, then yoga can work wonders to help you resolve them and get back on track. </strong>There is nothing special that you have to do to get yoga to work for you. As you practice, the asanas or yoga poses will release the deep emotions buried in your body tissues. Many yoga practitioners even find themselves laughing or weeping spontaneously, which is caused by a release of blocked energy. Yoga is an excellent way to release stress. Here is an example of a weight loss routine that is derived from popular yoga poses.</p>
<p>Begin with a sun salutation warm up, then move into a standing pose like Warrior, followed by a sitting pose like Forward Bend. Compliment these poses with Camel or something similar, then a Twist, and tie things together with Corpse pose. These are popular poses, and the order they are in begins with you upright before moving to the floor, facilitating not only the release of pent up energies but also the loss of weight and building of muscles.</p>
