Something that people tend to forget, when installing a 'home gym' , is that there are so many materials around the house that can be used as exercise equipment. For example - if you have stairs in your house, a few focused minutes spent going up and down the stairs will certainly raise your heart rate, and really begin to work the muscles in your legs. Like you say, the thing to remember about a home gym is the fact that you won't be interested in EVERY type of exercise, so you don't need to waste money on equipment that will sit there gathering dust. Let the pay-per-week gyms do that, so you don't have to!
