Some people are successful at going to the gym and others simply are not. If you have trouble getting the gumption to put your shoes on and get to the gym, it might be time to consider building your own gym at home. Here is some truly practical information on building your own home gym and where you can get the equipment that you need.
First and foremost, do you know the benefits of having your own home gym?
They offer you freedom. You never have to worry about making it to the gym on time between appointments, working shifts, holidays and other engagements. When you have your own home gym, you can workout when you want to and how you want to. You can do any exercises that you want, you can grunt, yell or sing, you can workout in your underwear or without makeup on, play music loudly or watch television.
They save you time. You never have to worry about driving to the local gym and back ever again. You never have to wait, rather impatiently, for the machine you want to become free, or to hop in the showers after a workout. When you have your own home gym, everything is done on your own time.
They save you money. Gym memberships are expensive. You pay on a monthly basis, forever. If you bring your gym to your home, all you have to do is buy the equipment, and it's yours for life, no monthly fees necessary!
You can make sure that you have the equipment you want. Why settle for what the gym provides when you can get the equipment that you actually want instead? Building your own home gym is the only solution if you want to make sure that all of your individual needs are met.
There is only really one downside involved in your own home gym, and that is that you are going to need to make an initial investment. You're also going to need to find ways to motivate yourself, but it'll be a lot easier when you consider that you won't have to worry about strangers leering at you or sweaty machines ever again.

I’m a big fan of the home gym, and it’s amazing what kind of results you can get from pushups, crunches, dumbbell, and a cardio machine — bike, rower, treadmill, elliptical, whatever. The net result for me is that I can squeak in some exercise when I’d never be able to sneak away to the gym.
