3 Day Diet Review

3 day diets are one of the most popular crash diets still around today. A lot of people try this diet, and they do see results, but it is only a short term weight loss. Sadly the weight is gained back quite soon for many people.

The three day diet is pretty much just a really low calorie diet as you can see just by looking at the "meal plan". There is no magic, no mystical reactions or any such nonsense. All of the weight loss that occurs is from the sudden drop in calories only. Some of the weight lost might be from fat, but the majority of it is water.

First Day

During the first day, the recommended breakfast is black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute, water, half of a grapefruit or fruit juice and a slice of toast with a tablespoon of peanut butter. The recommended lunch is half of a cup of tuna with a slice of toast and black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water. The recommended dinner is 3 ounces of a lean meat, a cup each of carrots and green beans, a cup of vanilla flavored ice cream, a medium sized apple and black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water.

Second Day

During the second day, the recommended breakfast is black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water, a slice of toast and a banana. The recommended lunch is a cup of tuna or cottage cheese, 5 saltines, black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water. The recommended dinner is half a cup of carrots, two beef franks or chicken hot dogs, a banana, a cup of cabbage or broccoli, a half cup of vanilla ice cream and black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water.

Third Day

During the third day, the recommended breakfast is black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water, 5 saltine crackers, an apple and an ounce of cheddar cheese. The recommended lunch is a hard boiled egg and a slice of toast and black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water. The recommended dinner is a cup of tuna, a cup of cauliflower, a cup of carrots, a cup of melon, half a cup of vanilla ice cream and black tea or coffee with a sugar substitute or water.

Condiments Allowed

In addition to the food choices mentioned above, you can also use lemon, salt and pepper, mustard and cooking spray as condiments for the foods that you eat. Substitutions for some of the foods are also allowed, such as eating an orange in place of a grapefruit, or frozen yogurt instead of ice cream as needed. This diet is designed to be moderately flexible while still being extremely strict in calories.

3 Day Diet plan? Interesting… I wonder why there are some people out there seriously think that a few days diet can actually lose the fat forever. Is this called ‘yo-yo diet’? To stay healthy and be in good shape forever, we just need to change our eating habit and exercise regularly. It takes time to reach a healthy fitness goal. I hope people understand this. :)

I like your website and I’m going to read more…

I just started a blog, about eating healthy and fitness. Feel free to check it out… http://istayfitforever.blogspot.com/

I can see why someone would want to rush into losing weight fast but when I think of 3 day diet plans only one thing comes to me. That is unhealthy. Losing weight takes dedication. Losing weight and staying healthy requires you to eat correctly and exercise consistently.
