22 Tips for Weight Loss pt 3

weightloss3Here is a quick no nonsense guide to what you can to in order to get healthy and lose weight. This is part 3 in a 5 part series.

(Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5)

9 - Identify the right exercise for your needs. No two exercises are created equally. If you enjoy running and it gives you the results that you seek, do it. If you enjoy jogging, or walking, or riding on a stationary bike, and one of these exercises is what is giving you the results that you seek, by all means go for it. Find the exercise that isn't going to feel like too much of an overwhelming chore, and do it as often as you can. Do not pick up an exercise routine that you cannot be happy with. Don't buy into the whole "no pain, no gain" thing either, because you can lose weight and get healthy without overwhelming or hurting yourself.

10 - Listen to your favorite music. Listening to an external stimulus and simply zoning out can take your mind off of the fact that you are exercising. This is one of the biggest secrets that you will ever learn when it comes to making your time exercising fly by. If you are concentrating on the things that your body is doing, then the time will seem to drag on forever but if you are watching television or listening to music, the time will fly by in no time before you know it and you may actually end up exercising for far longer than you even intended thanks to the distraction.

11 - Find fun ways to get fit. Play Dance Dance Revolution or get a Wii Fit, or find other fun and exciting ways for you to get fit. You don't have to run a marathon on the treadmill or swim 1000 laps around the pool to get fit. Just find something that gets your body moving and your heart going and you are absolutely going to benefit with time, patience and the right attitude.

12 - Set goals that are realistic in nature. You may be able to lose 20lbs a week if you exercise 12 hours out of the day and only eat celery, but you're human and it's not going to happen. What wins the race is a slow and steady attitude, and setting realistic goals for yourself. Never bite off more than you will be capable of chewing. Set small goals that you will be able to achieve on the way to achieving your larger goals, and you will find that you achieved much more in the long run than if you had set crazy goals for yourself from the start.

This was part 3 of a 5 part series on losing weight the healthy and natural way. Stay tuned because we'll be back with more valuable tips for doing weight loss right.
